Maverick

In 2005, Cedar Point started removing their log flume, White Water Landing. This got coaster critics wondering. What will replace it? Cedar Point answered with Maverick. A small 105 foot coaster. Critics were unsure of the ride, until they saw the promo.
Once abord, you start out of the station and look at the lift. Launched lift hill. You start up the 40 mile an hour lift hill. If you look to the left, you see the rest of the park. Look to the right, you see Lake Erie. All of the sudden, you are speeding down a 95 degree drop at 57 miles per hour. Into 2 crossovers and over an insane airtime hill. A right turn brings you into a corkscrew, a turn, then another corkscrew. This is known as a horseshoe roll. You immediately are turning again. This time, into a tunnel. You slow down, and you think it's over, but it's not. You rocket from 0 to 70 in a pitch black tunnel. A sharp turn out of the tunnel brings you back into daylight. A large, graceful turn toward water, through an s turn between rocks. Up into 2 awkward, and extremely sharp turns. Over an airtime hill and into the brake run.
This ride is extremely intense for it's size. It can jolt you a little but it's really good. I'd give it a 9.7 out of 10. It's that good. Get to the Point now to ride this. The Old West Was Never This Wild!
